Bridget Brogan is a Sophomore at Canisius College, pursuing a dual degree in Communications and Journalism with a concentration in Multimedia. She is a native of Syracuse, NY where she attended Bishop Ludden Jr./Sr. High School and earned an advanced regents diploma with a designation in science. While she was at Bishop Ludden, Bridget was a two-sport athlete in volleyball and softball, was captain of both teams in her senior year, and lead the volleyball team to it’s first ever NYSPHSAA Championship appearance in the school’s history. She earned First Team all-league and First Team all-state honors for her athletic achievements and represented Bishop Ludden as Section III’s Scholar Athlete for achieving the highest student-athlete GPA.
At Canisius, Bridget is part of the Women’s Division I Rowing Team, where she is on the varsity squad and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) for the Golden Griffs. Besides athletics, she is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority, where she serves on the chapter’s executive board as Member at Large (MAL). Bridget is also a news anchor for Griffin TV.
Bridget is currently an administrative assistant for Diana Cihak at Upper Edge Consulting, LLC. where she has had the opportunity to work with a multitude of clients across Western New York and learn all about the art of grant writing. In this role, she also serves as the social media manager for the BFLO Hall of Fame Experience and has become a master of play on words and puns. After Canisius, Bridget hopes to attain a masters degree in broadcast journalism and work one day for either a local/national news station/network.
